Napa Valley is a major hub for the holiday weekend, anchored by large-scale events and world-renowned dining.

• BottleRock Napa Valley: This three-day music, wine, and food festival takes place at the Napa Valley Expo from May 22–24, featuring over 75 bands and a culinary stage with celebrity chefs. This year's headliners are Foo Fighters, Backstreet Boys, and Lorde.
• Wine & Dining: Visit the Oxbow Public Market for local artisanal goods or explore the tasting rooms in downtown Napa. Many wineries in the Stags Leap and Oakville districts offer special outdoor terrace tastings during the spring.

• Glass Beach & Coastal Trails: Wander the shores of Glass Beach in Fort Bragg to see the smooth, colorful sea glass, or hike the bluffs at Mendocino Headlands State Park for panoramic views of the Pacific.
• The Skunk Train: Take a ride on this historic railroad through the redwood forests of the Noyo River Canyon. The "Wolf Tree Turn" and "Pudding Creek Express" are popular routes during the holiday weekend.

Located just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, this area offers a mix of small-town traditions and expansive national parkland.

• Memorial Day Traditions: Attend the Muir Beach Volunteer Firemen’s BBQ on Sunday, May 24, for live music and local food. On Monday, May 25, Mill Valley hosts its annual Memorial Day Parade and the "Day on the Green" concert and carnival.
